How does it work ?
EFT uses a protocol and a simple implementation procedure:
Under the guidance and with his/her support, the EFT practitioner will help you to:
a) Mentally connecting to a specific issue charged with emotion(s).
b)Rate the intensity on a scale from 0 to 10 (10 being the worse)
c) Combine this specific problem with a positive affirmation of self-acceptance. For example : "Even though I have this (problem, fear, pain..) I accept myself deeply and completely."
d) Stimulate by tapping with your fingertips certain specific meridian points located on the upper body while repeating a shortened version of the problem (see diagram).
e) Rate the intensity again
Acupressure (tapping) has been scientifically proven to send signals directly to the brain and these stimulations regulate the fear and stress responses.
EFT helps to eliminate the stressful response our body has to a memory that bothers us.
Tapping helps access your body's energy and ultimately restore balance by neutralizing its negative effects on our mental and physical well-being.
By breaking this conditioned reaction, the memory no longer triggers the disturbing, stress-laden emotion that our brain carries.
Tapping signals to the body that we are safe. The nervous system no longer associates memory with stress.
